My System was recently upgraded from 5.0.2 to 5.0.4.   While in 5.0.2
version, my Logitech Track Man Station Mouse (serial) was working
fine.   After upgrading to Open Desktop upgrade version 5.0.4 my
Logitech  mouse stopped
being recognized while in Graphics.   I have removed the mouse driver
from the kernal and reapplied
Serial->Logitech and rebuilt the kernel.   I have switched from Logitech
to Microsoft Serial mouse and the
graphic windows (Login Screen) but the trackball logitech mouse is not
responding.   Any Suggestions?
Thanks, Yakub

Try using the "Microsoft Mouse" driver instead of the "Logitech" driver.

In the "old" days (I am dating myself), there were 3 basic mouse drivers:
Microsoft, Logitech, and Mouse Systems.  In the last 5 or so years everyone
has conformed to the Microsoft mouse standard.  Unless your mouse is VERY old
it should be defined as a Microsoft mouse.

LOGITECH MOUSE NOT Recognized

NOTE: this is a repeat post of an article I sent during the last week.
I was having mail routing problems; some messages were disappearing.  I
couldn't find this one on altavista, so I'm pretty sure it didn't make
it out to the net.

If you are expecting a reply from me for a message sent between Sep. 6th
and 12th, please re-send the original message.

Choose "Logitech MouseMan: Serial or cordless version", not "Logitech
serial mouse".
