Configure/Compiling mh-6.8.3 on SCO ODT 2

Configure/Compiling mh-6.8.3 on SCO ODT 2

Post by Jerry Heym » Tue, 20 Jun 1995 04:00:00

I am in the process of changing our SCO environment from mmdf to sendmail,
and would like to make the mh command set available for our users to read and
respond to mail.  The mh-6.8.3 distribution has a sys5r3 config file for
6.7, anyone got one working for 6.8?

My significant problem appears to be in the getcwd() function call on SCO.
We use automounter, and SCO's getcwd() is documented to actually return the
results of a `pwd` command.  Hence, what I see as /home/jerry is actually
/tmp_mnt/home/jerry/jerry.

I've been successful compiling it for our SunOS 4.1.3 users in the same
environment...

1. How to compile MH-6.8.3??

I've trouble in attempt to get MH 6.8.3 compiled. There is f_getfld.c
file (if memory serves) in which veery big function deals directry with FILE
structure internals. It seems inappropriate with linux GNUish libc. Is there
any solution?
