Help: Setting Up TCPIP - I can ping to the machine but not from the machine????

We are installing TCP/IP on and SCO Unix 3.2v4.2 System.
The TCP/IP version is 1.2.1o I believe. and the LLI drivers and 3.0???
Anyways I installed this same setup on another machine and no
problems.  But with this machine I can ping to the machine, but i
can't ping from it.  It just hangs.

I know that that the card works fine, since it was being used on
another machine.  We did switch in another card and had the same
results.

The card is an NE2000 compatible card.  We set it up to use interrupt
5 and IO 0x300.  When the system boots it recognizes the hardware
with no problems.

The machines IP Address is 192.9.200.102
Its Netmask is 255.255.255.0
Broadcast is 192.9.200.255

Please email me, as we are trying to get this system out the door
quickly.

1. NT machine ping-able by name but not same machine under linux :(

I can ping by name to an NT machine but not to the SAME machine (dual
boot) when booted under linux. The numerical address works fine in all
cases though.

Perhaps linux is not identifying itself to be the same machine as the
NT machine even though they run the same hardware, but how to get it
to do that?

A more general question, where is it decided what each machine in a
LAN is to be named?
