Has anyone seen this on release 5?
(Dell 100 Mz Pentium; happens intermittently; if it boots OK
then it works, but sometimes keyboard is dead during boot and thereafter)

Yes. It usually(?) has to do with the keyboard timing. There is an
Technical FAQ that is posted here in two parts. There is a section in
this FAQ that details a Driver patch. Try that first. Thw FAQ also
refers to a TL that discusses other possibilities. The Driver patch
worked for me.

I've seen this on several types of systems. Try unplugging and
reconnecting the keyboard. Works for me some of the time.
