Posted a problem with SCO Open Server 5.0.5 and policy manager earlier in
week. It now looks like I am going to need "professional" help to resolve
this.
Are there any SCO consultants that handle the southern ontario, canada area
lurking about.
My problem is that the policy manager is failing to initialize on a number
of systems since Jan 1. All patches etc were installed. However a little
more investigation with help of J.Boland of SCO UK has also pointed out that
/unix seems to disappear after a period of time. I have relinked the
kernel, done full system scoadmin verify and all is fine. Several hours
later /unix is gone and policy manager errors are back. This is happening
on a number of systems that have different hardware and resource
configurations, but all now running 5.0.5 with 5.0.5A and oss600a on them.
My biggest problem is they are all remote.
