I need to set up a printer to connect to a terminal with transparent
printing. I have not done this in about 10 years, I was refreshing
my memory and read about the PN and PS termcap entries to turn on
and off transparent printing. But how does the printer know it is
on the same port as a terminal. Without these entries the printer
simply prints on the terminal (as expected).
I have an Okidata 590 printer (does epson and ibm)
Link80 terminal with ANSI emulation
Digiboard
Is anyone totally sure what the emulation codes are for the Link80
in ANSI mode?
What printer model should I use?
I have another OSE 5 machine with Advanced File and Print Server
(LANMAN for SCO) loaded, it has a print model called 'passthrough'.
However, I want to setup a box without AFaPS, plus I don't want to
cp anything from the AFaPS box.
Thanks!!!
Joe.
