The following problems are addressed in Technical Articles that appeared
on SCO's web site in the week ending 20000729.

Each problem is preceded by the URL reference to get the relevant article

PROBLEM:  I am unable to get ARCserve to work with SPX or SPXII on SCO
          OpenServer Release 5.0.0, 5.0.2 or 5.0.4.

The "SCO ARCserve/Open from Cheyenne Documentation/SCO
ARCserve/Open Client Agent for Netware Installation Guide",
Chapter 1, "Installing and Using the Client Agent for Netware"
          states:

Supported Protocols:    SPX, SPXII, and TCP/IP

PROBLEM:  I want to configure sendmail to filter out unwanted and
unsolicited mail (often called "spam").  Also, I want to
prevent others from using my site to relay mail.

PROBLEM:  After installing the optional sysadmsh from the SCO OpenServer
Release 5.0.4 CD-ROM, I start sysadmsh as root and go to:

                System->Configure->Menus->User

I choose either Add or Edit, fill in the form with Menu option
title, and command, and save it. The resulting menu entry is
completely blank. If I copy a .sysadmshmenu file from a SCO UNIX
System V/386 Version 4.2 system, it works fine, but if I attempt
to add or edit a menu item, the item gets blanked out.

PROBLEM:  The ksh greater-than string comparison:

            [[ string1 > string2 ]]

doesn't work as documented, returning an error ("#" indicates the
          command line prompt):

            # ksh -c "[[ bbb > aaa ]] && echo true"
            ksh: bbb: bad number

PROBLEM:  After installing Support Level Supplement (SLS) OSS471C, and
rebooting the system, the following message is displayed on the
          console:

UX: P6 update: Error: cannot bind to processor 1

The system continues to boot without further incident and
          appears stable.

PROBLEM:  ELF objects fail at compile-time or run-time with "relocations
remaining" errors. This problem is only present in the development
system patch that comes with Release Supplement 505A for SCO
          OpenServer Release 5.0.5.

using the Software Manager, but I do not see the selection for
          VisionFS 3.0.

PROBLEM:  The lp driver stops responding if a process that is writing to
          it is killed.

Also, printing via the parallel port can be extremely slow. This
is especially known to happen on some Compaq systems.

PROBLEM:  A manual bringup outgoing PPP link is set up according to the
instructions given in ta109485, "How to manually configure SCO
PPP for incoming/outgoing connections."  When pppattach is used
to bring up the link, it dials, connects, logs in, and then
immediately disconnects. Or, it stays connected but is not able
to communicate with other systems on the Internet.  I can connect
to my modem and then dial out and log in without getting
disconnected, so this is not a modem or UUCP problem.

How can my system's default route be automatically updated when
a manual bringup outgoing PPP link (non-Morning Star PPP) uses
          dynamically assigned IP addresses?

PROBLEM:  Kernel panic in adst70_timeout_remove routine during tape access.

This kernel panic condition was replicated by pressing and holding
the tape eject button while the tape drive was busy.
