Sco ODS 5.0.2c ftp freeze

We upgraded our sco unix to sco openserver release 5. I am using a smc
8432E/BNC
32Bit PCI ethernet card with the lli 3.11/30.4 driver sets. I can rcp and
rsh all day as well as telnet to and from the system all day. I can ftp to
the sco box and send a file.
However when I try to retreive a file from the sco box (using either
Century FTP, win95 ftp, sun or linux ftp) the sco box send 1-2kbytes and
freezes. No messages in /var/adm/syslog or messages. My ifconfig smpw0 is

smpw0: flags=4043<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
            inet: 100.0.0.22 netmask ff000000 broadcast 100.255.255.255
perf. params: recv size: 4096 send size: 8192; full-size
frames: 1
            ether: 00:00:c0:ce:37:d0

All the hardware is the same as when we were using sco unix 2.3/4 last
week.
I remember something about a one-packet command on the ifconfig line that
allowed for no backtoback transmissions, but cant find the man page for it.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like that's your problem right there.  OpenServer Release 5 comes
with drivers for the 8432, you do not need to install the SMC-supplied
drivers, which are for ODT 3.0.  (Actually I forget whether straight
OSR5 includes it, or whether you must install AHS 5.2 -- irrelevant,
really, since you *should* install AHS 5.2 in any case.)

This shows that you are definitely using the old driver (if it was the
OSR5 driver, it would show up as "net0" not "smpw0").  Also, are you
sure you want a netmask of 255.0.0.0?

1. Keyboard codes under SCO 5.0.2c

Hi,

I am running two systems, one using SCO OpenServer Enterprise System
v5.0.0.b and another using v5.0.2c.  The program I am having trouble
with uses the keypress <CTRL-SHIFT-F1> .. <CTRL-SHIFT-F12>.  This
works fine under the old version but the program does not receive the
keyboard control codes under the new version.  The program runs under
X-Windows and the two SCO's have slightly different versions of
X-Windows (one is 3.6.0 and the other is 3.6.1.  I thought that maybe
these key combinations where used by X-Windows in the new version of
something.

Has anyone seen anything like this before ?  or even better does any
know if detailed release notes for each version of SCO and it's
components are available ?  I have tried www.sco.com but haven't been
able to find any detailed release notes.

Thanks in advance

Jason
