UW 2.1.1, running "niccfg" after installing "nic211" driver updates.

Hello,

I just installed UW 2.1.1 update okay.  Then I went to install driver
updates from
the "nic211" package, which succeeded.  However, I either failed to read
the
instructions correctly from the UW 2.1.1 release notes on how to install
the
"nic211" package or something went wrong.  After the updated drivers,
SMC8K
is what I needed, were installed (from the niccfg menu), I selected an
option to
apply changes and exit.

I rebooted the server and get the error message "NOTICE: MOD: Cannot
open module
SMC8K on path /etc/conf/mod.d".

Apparently, all the definitions for my NIC cards disappeared.

When I try to run "niccfg" after the above, it just makes the CPU busy
for a few seconds and then returns back to the command prompt.  No menu
for niccfg is displayed.

Is there a way to get "niccfg" working again, without a system restore
or rebuild, so that I can re-add the NICs in my server??

HELP!!!

Thanks in advance.
