Software for Livingston Port Master 2 terminal server

Software for Livingston Port Master 2 terminal server

Post by Edward Hooper » Thu, 15 Aug 1996 04:00:00

I'm looking for software for SCO UNIX 3.2v4.2 and 3.2v5.0.2 to allow dial out
and printer port use on a Livingston Port Master 2 terminal server.  The PM2
is not listed in the SCO HCH, nor does the software exist at Livingston's ftp
site.

If anybody has cobbled anything together, or has source for another Unix
operating systems interface to the PM2, please let me know.

TIA

1. livingston portmaster as a terminal server

I'm having trouble installing a Livingston portmaster 2e.  I want to
use this as a terminal server for 10 Sun servers (ranging from Ultra 5s
to E450s).

What do I need to do?

I have connected one of the servers to the portmaster, but I can't seem
to figure out how to connect to that port.  I know with the old Sun nts
servers you needed to type "cli" and then enter the port number, but I
can't seem to do that here.

Ideas?  Has anyone else used this as a terminal server??
