I have to transfer close to 10GB of data between a Motorola computer
using a COSPRO Operating system and IBM R/S6000 F50 using AIX UNIX.

What is COSPRO? Does it not implement ftp?

Did you try?
Did it get to a certain point and then die?
Why are you asking here since NEITHER OS involved is SCO based?
Do you even have FTP available under COSPRO?
Explain the setup, file types, network types, OS limitations on file
sizes, partition layout, and anything else involved. If you can't
answer these questions, hire an expert who can.
I'm taking time to get involved because large file issues is quite
painful, and has great humor potential.
