Toshiba 4100 CDT and OSE5

Post by Knut Stah » Thu, 13 Jun 1996 04:00:00

Hello,

we want to set up OSE5 on a Toshiba Notebook 4100 CDT with build in
CD-ROM and a 1 GB harddisk. Also there should be Win95 running on that
system.

Does anyone has any idea if this could work? We had a lot of bad
experiences with SCO 3.2.4.2. So perhaps now on a faster Notebook
we can use OSE 15.
Will 16 MB RAM be enough for OSE5? The system will be used only by
one person and we don=B4t need the X environment.

Many thanks!

Knut

We recently installed on one of these and it went (and still goes) fine with
'defbootstr linkahs=wd disable=dptr ' and AHS 5.1. Our was a bit over
configured with 24 MB of RAM for 1-2 people but the price difference between 8
and 16 MB was not too much (the jump to 32 was huge, must be trick technology
or something).

IMHO Toshiba notebooks are par excellance.

Hello all,
I am having a problem installing Redhat 6.0 on a Toshiba Satellite

Either using Disk Druid or fdisk, I can partition the tables and it
formats them, but
when it gets done, I get a

        "mount failed:  invalid argument"

-Anyone ever see this?
-Thanks in advance
