by I have a client running OSR5.0.4 Enterprise with the following
options/patches )listed in order of application):
SMP
VDM
rs504c
oss449f
oss601a
Problem: oss449f was superseded by rs504c and SHOULD have never been
applied.
Proposed solution: Remove the following (in order):
oss601a
oss449f
rs504c (?)
and reapply (in order):
rs504c
oss469d
oss601a
as a minimal basic patch set.
Questions:
1. Does rs504c (the second part) need to be removed as well or can
I reapply it to make sure all files overwritten by oss449f are
restored? (I know removing oss449f SHOULD restore overwritten
files, but ...)
2. Should I include any other patches in the basic set besides
oss469d and oss601a? (There are several other patches which
will be applied but I want to do one at a time followed
by at least a week of operations instead of applying all of
them in one fell swoop.)
3. Any other suggestions, caveats, etc?
