Can I burn SCO CD's

Post by Darrell Tschaker » Fri, 19 Nov 1999 04:00:00

Hi,
I tried burning a SCO 5.0.5 install CD on my Windows 98 system.  I
created the CD OK and I could read it in Win98.  I could not mount
or use it on my SCO 5.0.5 system.  Is there software for burning CD's
that could be used on SCO Unix?

Thanks

For what it's worth, I burned a CD on an NT machine using HP software. It
was readable on SCO 5.0.5 BUT only the data I put on the CD with the first
burn. I added some directories and it was no longer usable...

Can I burn SCO CD's

I burned a CD using Easy CD Creator on a Win 95 system (the image was
created on a UNIX box with "mkisofs") but I would get an I/O error reading
some files on it. This would occur on the same place in the CD on several
different CDs. The only workaround I found was to put some "dummy" files at
the beginning of the CD.

1. Burning an ISO into a bootable CD and mp3's to music CD's.

Hi,

what CD burner software should I use when I want to burn ISO's on to
CD's making them bootable. I would also like to be able to turn mp3's
directly into music CD's. Is is an easy to use application for Linux
that can do this?

My burner works fine on Linux, but the software that came with my
distro is, to say the least, not very intuitive.

TIA
