HELP: exporting CDROM filesystems with NFS

Post by Geert Albert Sman » Fri, 21 Jun 1996 04:00:00

Hello SCO-gurous,

I am trying to export 6 different CD-ROM mounts across the
network (using NFS).  The system is running 'SCO UNIX System
Release 3.2v4.2'.  The contents of my '/etc/exports' file is:

/CDROM1 -ro
/CDROM2 -ro
/CDROM3 -ro
/CDROM4 -ro
/CDROM5 -ro
/CDROM6 -ro

The NFS software is running on the system.  Next I do:

exportfs: /CDROM1: Read-only file system
exportfs: /CDROM2: Read-only file system
exportfs: /CDROM3: Read-only file system
exportfs: /CDROM4: Read-only file system
exportfs: /CDROM5: Read-only file system
exportfs: /CDROM6: Read-only file system

no exported file systems for pcgbn05.nlr.nl

As you can see, no CD-ROM directories were exported!

Can anybody help me with this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
  Geert Albert  Smant

Have you checked the SLS list? I recall at least one specifically
relating to exporting CD-ROMs.
