SCO Open Server 3.2 4.2 shows login (root) on tty1A but ps command does
not show any users on tty1A. No response from modem when using when
using cu command (cu -l ty1a dir). How can this be?

1. ps command not showing any processes
The ps command on my solaris 2.4 machine only displays:
UID PID PPID C STIME TTY TIME COMD
No processes are listed. /proc is empty and /tmp/ps_data is there. Any
suggestions? Thanks for any help.
