We use NcFtpd for our FTP server, it has all sorts of nice security
features not found in the normal FTP server. You might want to take a
look at it:

Subject: Restricting Multiple FTP Users on OS 5.02 or 5.04 ??
I'm looking into setting up a system where users can ftp into their home
directories; however, I want it to behave like anonymous ftp, where
their
home directory becomes their root directory, and they cannot see
anything
else. A true password would be required for this, too. I tried the
Networking Guide for setting up anonymous ftp, but for any user ID other
than ftp it doesn't work, and they can cd above their home directory.
Any
suggestions welcome.
Thanks,
Ed G.
