I have a strange problem....
I have an altos 7000 running the latest altos/sco unix (not ODT, not 5,
4.2). Sometimes, when I am editing a file, when I type :wq, vi hangs.
Indefinitely, as far as I can tell. I can hit DEL, and I get a message
about the write being interrupted. I can do w<ret> q<ret> and it always
There's not much pattern here, except that once it's hung on a particular
file, it'll always hang on that file, for the rest of that session anyway.
This may or may not be related, but the symptoms seem to be similar -
occasionally when I telnet to one of our other systems, when I quit at the
end, telnet hangs. Unfortunately, DEL doesn't work here. kill required.
Any ideas? Anyone with a 7000 run into this?
