You have to change a tunable parameter in the unix kernel, so you
must recompile a kernel.

There's a nice article about this in the SCO Technical Articles database
(http://www5.sco.com/Support/ssl.html).  Search for "ptmx".

1. STREAMS using pseudo-ttys.

Does anyone have an example of using pseudo-ttys to communicate
between processes.  I'm trying to get mxgdb to work on my SVR4
platform with not much success.  I'm able to receive information
from the slave process.  I just can't seem to send information
from the master process to the slave process.  Everything is
setup just like the documentation (SunOS 5.3 STREAMS Programmer's
Guide) suggests.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Mike.
