I have a HP Netserver 4d/66 (486dx2/66 EISA)
with 48MB ram,
a 4.3GB stinger scsi 3 Ultra wide micropolis hard drive
running off a Adaptec AHA-4742W controller as scsi id 0 (on wide bus)
(it has both scsi 2 50 pin and wide bus on one card),
a HP dds-1 DAT drive on the 50 pin bus as scsi id 2
a toshiba X12 scsi CDROM on the 50 pin bus as scsi id 5.
a WD 8013 ethernet card
a ARNET OCTIPORT smart serial card set to port 280 mem C000 (for 64k)
a US Robotics 28.8 internal modem set to com2
I an running
SCO OpenServer Enterprise System (ver 5.0.4p)
installed via "fresh install" from CDROM
When I boot up I get this error message:
WARNING: arad: adapter 0 Error: Selection Timeout (ha=0 bus=0 id=1
lun=0)
arad is the adapter code that refers to the AHA-4272W.
Eveything else runs ok.
The funny thing is I have never had anything installed in this server
that
was set to scsi 1.
Please tell me what file or files I need to look in and or any
suggestions
as how to resolve this issue.
