SCO printer queue -> WinNT printer queue

SCO printer queue -> WinNT printer queue

Post by hofm.. » Wed, 17 Apr 1996 04:00:00

I have a Pentium PC running SCO-Unix and a proprietary system
which sends printer output to either a SCO printer queue or to a file.

I want to feed this printer output to the printing system of
my Windows NT Workstation 3.51 fileserver.

Does anybody know an easy way how to achieve this?

many thanks

Michael

1. printer queues not passing enq -o parameters to remote queue AIX 4.2

I reacently went from 3.2.5 to 4.2 on one of our systems and since then
have not been able to get the queueing system to pass -o parameters to a
remote queue on our print server still running at 3.2.5.  I have stopped
both queues and enq'd 11 jobs each with one -o parameter and a unique file
name,  only the first 3 jobs made it to the local queue, but in checking
qdir the parms were correct in the jdf file.  When I started the local
queue, only the first job went on to the remote queue and the parms were
not in that jdf file.

Could it be that I need to rebuild all my queues ( I havn't done it since
migrating to 4.2), It seems that is the only thing left to do.  By the way,
enq'ing just a plain file (with no -o parms) works fine.  Any ideas would
be appreciated.
