Which articles in particular?  I get the magazine and have the one that
compare Linux to Windows.  But I only know of the one article.

Well, based on what I've determined:

Linux and Windows has their own set of bigots.  :-)

We all prefer one of them.

Some of us completely reject the other.

Some of us feel that we need to jam our choice down others throats and
ridicule anyone that disagrees with us.

Some of us provide facts that aren't.  (I hope that I clearly indicated
anything that I said that I wasn't sure of.)

Windows NT appears to have 75% (arbitrary value implying more than half
but less than 100%) of the features and abilities of Linux but 900% more
applications, thus making it a better operating system.  :-)

A few other things but I think this highlights the major ones.  :-)

My personal opinion is that Windows NT has matured and may be a viable
operating system.  From what I've heard, it is less stable than Linux
but there are a few who claim very good stability.  The design of Linux
(Unix) is much more to my liking than Windows NT, is more open than
Windows NT and the API is more stable than Windows (note I'm referring
to all Windows, not just NT).  Linux is free and far more fun to develop
for though developing for Windows NT might be more profitable.  I would
prefer to use *anything* that doesn't put more money into a self
absorbed dictator's pocket (or any of his followers).

I'm sure that stating my opinion constitutes the right for some people
to say I'm wrong (like an opinion can be wrong).  So, I'll say it
first!  Anybody who disagrees with me is WRONG!  :-)
