Hercules driver for MGR 0.02 available.

Hi,

I have just uploaded a Hercules monochrome graphic card driver
for MGR 0.02 to banjo.concert.net.  It is a plug in replacement of the
vga driver vgablit.tar.Z.  Hope this will help those with Hercules
card.  The files are in pub/Linux/Incoming directory:

hercblit.t.Z -- source code of the driver and some utilities
                        for switching video modes.

hermgrbin.t.Z - pre-compiled mgr with the Hercules driver and
                        the utilities in hercblit.t.Z.

        Enjoy!

Hello;
I have a minor gripe about efdisk.   It forces the cylinder number to 1024
for my 1166 cylinder disk!  I would prefer efdisk to believe me when I
tell it that 1166 cylinders is what I have.  (pfdisk is more polite, it
believes me.)
I also have a more major problem.  mkfs -c apparently puts a file called .badblocks
in the root directory.  However, .badblocks file has weird attributes and dates.
Furthermore, the .badblocks entry seems to have no inode!  fsck reports that all
of the files on my disk have 1 link reported but 2 links counted.
ALL of the files in my root directoty are reported to share inodes numbers with
.badblocks, (which seems to have no inode # of its own !).

Curiouser and curioser.

If anybody has a clue as to whats happening, I would love to hear it.

The version of 'efdisk' on the 0.96 root was limited to
1024-cylinder drives.  It's not that it didn't believe you.  :)
