For anyone wanting Linux, but don't have FTP access...

My BBS has the full MCC Linux release online, in case anyone
out there wants Linux but has no FTP access. I also have several DOS
utilities online to make installing Linux easier, including a
NON-DESTRUCTIVE partitioning program.

My system can be reached at (714) 646-9180, all speeds from 300 to
14,400 bits per second.

1. how locate a file (don't have telnet/ftp access)

I don't have telnet access to the net (only mail works here). I use FTPMAIL

But how do I get specific file paths when someone says file xyz is on
e.g. tommy.univ.edu, but does not give a specific path to the file.  I
have tried getting directory listings via ftpmail, but that is tedious
at best, as the turnaround on these is 1-2 days, if it works at all.

Is there an archie server that works via mail?

Any other ideas?

Glenn

PS: right now, I would like to know where tn3270 is available on the net.
Maybe someone can give me specific pointers of where the distribution
exists.
