ide bus transfer rate

Anyone know where the key expression 'idebus=100' is supposed to be
placed to get the bus rate up from 33??
Tried lilo.conf and it doesn't recognize it.
Did grep within the HOW-TOs and no hits.
The response is coming from the boot up sequence:

block: 128 slots per queue, batch=32
RAMDISK driver initialized: 16 RAM disks of 7777K size 1024 blocksize
Uniform Multi-Platform E-IDE driver Revision: 6.31
ide: Assuming 33MHz system bus speed for PIO modes; override with idebus=xx
PCI_IDE: unknown IDE controller on PCI bus 00 device f9, VID=8086, DID=24db
PCI: Device 00:1f.1 not available because of resource collisions

etc.

yes, the statement, append = "idebus=33", goes into lilo.conf file

however, you'll find that it either does not boot or it will not
respect your request. even if you are lucky enough to get it to
run beyond 33mhz, it will only max at 41mhz. keep in mind that
the overall system bus speed does not equal the pic-ide bus speed

1. Setting Down transfer rates on PCI SCSI bus

Greetings

I have to install a Pinnacle optical drive on an ultra 10. The vendor
says that the MO won't run on a wide bus as is, that I need to set the
transfer rate lower on that bus by SCSI id, but he could not tell me
how. Can anyone shed some light on how to do this?? Is this an entry in
/etc/system?? Thanks in advance.
