USB problem - Mass storage device

Post by Kim B. Nielse » Sun, 07 Jul 2002 22:12:36

Hi

Im currently migrating to Linux, but im having a problem. I've got an Nex
II mp3 player from Frontier Labs with an 256 MB CF card. According to
several hp's, i should be able to mount it as an usb mass storage device.
My system is finding the device, as you can see in the following, but it is
reported to have a capacity of 0 MB. How can it be ?? And how can i make it
work... It's pretty mutch all i nedd to have migrated completely...

Regards Kim

Maybe I am reading something wrong here, but this would be sda, your
first scsi device, i.e. your CD-writer (which is apparently working
under ide-scsi).

From this I would assume that you are trying to look at the second
scsi device, i.e. sdb

Have you tried a simple "fdisk -l /dev/sdb" to see if it lists any
partitions on that device?

Thank you for the reply, but i solved it in a somehow different way.... I
dropped RH 7.2 and installed RH 7.3... I had been playing to much around,
and the system was somewhat messy...

Thx
