Cut and Paste with the mouse

I have installed Linux .99 on my 486 at home and I am running
X windows (X11). I have a two button Microsoft mouse and after
I cut a sentence I do not know how to paste since I do not have
a middle button which is usually used for pasting. Is there a
way to paste with the two button mouse ? What files contain the
setup for the mouse buttons ? Can the mouse be setup for this
from X enviroment ?  

I would appreciate any help on this matter. I have looked through all
X windows books I could find and there was nothing about this. Thanks.

Insert the line
Emulate3Buttons
in your Xconfig. Then you can paste by pressing the two buttons
of your mouse.

        Why should you have to do that when your mouse has 3 buttons
already? ( Mine doesn't work either and this is the only answer I've
seen )

I have an Ahead video card.  It supports SVGA and has 1mb on board RAM.
it apparently has a proprietary chip called the V-5000B.

I'm having much trouble running X in color vga as well as mono at decent
resolutions.  Can anyone help?  

My monitor is the Relisys Re-1520 Multican 1024x768.

I would really appreciate any help, especially an Xconfig file
set up for 1024x768 256 color VGA.

1. Cut and paste & Mouse button questions

Two really simple questions:

1) Can someone help me with the settings I'll need to be able to cut and paste
directly between windows using fvrm.  To be more explicit, I want to be able to
select text in one window and paste it into another without having to go thru
an intermediate clipboard/pasteboard buffer.

2) What setting do I use to reverse the sense of the mouse buttons.  I have a
microsoft mouse (2-buttons) and I want the right button to be the activation
button.
