Help! : no route to host problem

Post by Leo » Wed, 10 Jul 2002 03:06:51

Dear all,

   I have a problem where I cannot connecto to a server's smtp daemon,  i
know it is there because i telnet into the server and tried " telnet
localhost 25 " and it works, also have tried connecting from other computer
and still works. But when i attempt to connect from my PC, it will take ages
to find and return an error. I tried nmaping and port 25 does not exist. So
i tried "telnet  xxxx 25" from my PC and it gives me a " no route to host "
error. I tried telnet to another port and it works, just that. Can anyone
give me a solution to the problem??

 Thank you very much,

  Leo
