Motif costs

Post by Ray Seyfar » Wed, 21 Jul 1993 22:03:40

We are installing 6 486 systems with Linux at USM.  We are interested
in using Motif.  I know that Motif is available, but I need to learn
where to get it and what it will cost.

1.  Is it possible to get an educational discount?

2.  What is the cost for Motif source code and what royalties are
    due for each system if you get the source?

3.  Who sells Motif?

Thanks.

The Motif port is produced by a company called Metro Link Incorporated

The phone number is (305) 970-7353, fax (305) 970-7351

1. Cost for x86 Solaris & X/Motif

Would anyone know approximately how much it will cost me
to buy Solaris for my Pentium.  I would also need the
X/Motif Libraries and a c++ compiler.  I am currently
debating between Windows NT and Solaris.

Thanks for your input,

John
