Hello,

I have just installed RedHat Linux 6.0. I think it does not support Dlink
530 TX ethernt card.
Where can I find support for that ?

It does but you will probably never find it in the documentation. When
you configure the controller use "via_rhine" as the controller type. If
that doesn't work you can find a copy of the driver that should do the
job on the following URL:

   http://www.dlink.ca/linux.html

I hope that helps.

Best of luck.

I have a Dlink 530TX; you could build the driver that Dlink created but I
couldn't get it to work. Just do a modprobe via_rhino.o
it loads and works fine (don't forget to ifconfig -u it though)

correction, its via_rhine.o, not via_rhino.o

Correction:  via-rhine.o, with a "-".

Instructions are at
 http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/ethercard.html
   ftp://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/linux/drivers/via-rhine.c

RedHat includes the driver, but it's mistakenly omitted from the list
presented to the user.

It's obvious that many "independent distributions" are just re-worked
versions of RedHat, since this error propaged widely.
