Drivers for the DTC SCSI controllers?

Does any have, or is anyone working on a UNIX driver for the new
DTC 3270VL SCSI-2 controller?  If not, how about any of the other
DTC 32x0 controllers?  I presume I could modify an ISA SCSI
controller fairly easily, right?

I'm interested in such a driver for any of the following systems:

        386BSD, NetBSD, Linux, Mach 3.0, Mach 2.x

Please let me know.

P.S. The DTC controllers are so much cheaper than the supported
     controllers, such as Adaptek and Ultrastor, that I'm surprised
     that Adaptek is supported by all the free UNIX and Mach systems,
     whereas DTC, apparently, is not.  Wouldn't it be nice to by a
     $160 SCSI controller, instead of a $400+ SCSI controller?

I'd also like to know what might be in the works for DTC controllers.
I'm about to order a system from Comtrade, and I need to know if I should
stay away from their DTC controllers (the DTC 3292 EISA SCSI-II
controller, specifically).

I understand that S3 graphics drivers are in the works, so I'm planning
on getting an Actix S3-805 VL-bus video card, but I don't want to get a
SCSI scontroller that will never be supported.

1. DTC 3280 SCSI Controller

Is there a driver or a workaround for the DTC 3280 SCSI Controller.
It appears it's one of those controllers that noone supports (due
to some NDA with DTC).  Is there something available, or do I get
to replace my card?  I've checked the FAQ, and I know what *it* says;
I'm looking for another possible solution.  

Note: This is posted to the Linux and BSD question groups.  I'm not
particular to either os; if neither work, it's a moot point!

Posting is fine.  I try to keep up with both of 'em.
