I have an Accoton and Surecom network card.  how do i get them working in
mandrake linux?

could someone please go thru set by set explaining how to install these two
network cards?  its driving ne mad

  I have not heard of those brands.  It is perhaps better to look at
the chipsets on the cards.  The RTL8139 chipset (by Realtek, little
picture of a crab is normally found somewhere...) is favoured by many
people PCI cards as it is cheap.  Similarly, there were a lot of
NE2000 clones amongst ISA cards.

  Once you have the chipset, look in the kernel configuration for it
and make the driver as a module.  Then simply modprobe driver_name at
boot time before ifconfig'ing eth0 (or whatever) up.

i am going to install a solaris 10
right now i am using a USB wifi adapter in winxp
but i don't have a ethernet adapter
i am sure this won't be supported in solaris coz it is made by M$
what kind of lan card i should buy for solaris?
