As the subject says: Xfree 1.2 says it cannot find a free VT.
I am using my "old" Xconfig and my old X setup, only I changed the server
to Xfree 1.2.
Configuration: Linux 0.99 p.6 with 8 VT's, libraries all taken from SLS
1.01.
Is there something radically different between Xfree 1.0f+ and 1.2?

1. Fatal server error: no free VT in X312E
I've gotten XFree86312E from the Standard Places, and when I try
to do 'startx', I get
Fatal server error:
xf86OpenConsole: Cannot find a free VT
Anyone got any ideas? I reduced the number of virtual terminals
in /etc/inittab to 1, and that didn't help. Becoming root doesn't help.
Version 3.1.2 protocol version 11, rev 0, vendor release 6000.
9440 video card on a P100 with 16 Meg RAM.
