Has anyone successfully ported the project scheduling software
xopps.1.8 or xopps.1.8.1a to Linux.  I have tried and can get a program
which core dumps nicely and which
cannot schedule anything.  xopps works very well on Sun Workstations.  I
have done a web search and to Alta Vista's knowledge, no Linux port has
been successfully done.

1. On Solaris 2.6, are patches for JDK1.1.8 necessary for JRE1.1.8?

There are 9 patches for JDK1.1.8_09, among which 105181-15(kernel patch) is
required.

My doubt is, are these patches helpful/necessary for JRE 1.1.8_09 only?
