Informix 4Gl under linux link errors

Post by Dave Madison (nopho » Wed, 26 Jul 1995 04:00:00

I have loaded Informix's I4GL product onto my system (version 4.?) along
with the informix standard engine.  Everything seems too work fine up
until the point when it tries to link.  Then I get link errors -
undefined symbol(s).

I looked into the  c4gl  shell script used to compile and link 4gl files
and it makes reference to a libx.* file via a link option something like
\lx or -lx (sorry, I'm not on my linux box right now).  I scanned my linux
system looking for this library, and could not find one.

Any Ideas on how to get around this problem?  OR any ideas as to what
may be missing from my system?

Thanks for the help!

Fair enough, but then you are basically creating a complete SCO
development setup on a FreeBSD box, which requires that you have a SCO
developement license in order to get all of the necessary libraries and
include files.  It's *much* easier just to install SCO on a separate
partition to do the development.

Plus all of the necessary include files and such.
