Hi Netlanders,

I wonder if there is commons C++ class for MS-Windows 95 and XWindow. I
want my MS-Windows 95
application running under XWindow after a new compilation . What tool must
i use ? The top whill by the same source code recompiled that work for both
platform.

Thanks for tips!

The wxWindows libraries make this possible:

There's the V application framework, available on SunSite and
ftp.redhat.com.

1. X windows based C/C++ Source Code Browser AND Cross-Referencer

Hello,

I have a rather large and widely spread source code tree hierarchy on a
package that I am trying to pick apart in order to make some changes and
modifications to as part of my thesis.  I have SCO Open Server Enterprise
3.0 and the SCO Development System 3.0 here at home and it has a neat
utility called 'cscope' which can browse and cross-reference an
arbitrarily large (at least I have not hit its limits) collection of
.c, .h, .y, and .l, files and you can enter in a symbol name and it
will give you a list of everywhere that symbol is used in the collection
of files you have fed into it and then you can point-n-shoot with a
hotkey right into vi right to the spot of a given entry.  You can also
edit any function, list all lines calling a given function, and list functions
called by a given function, and so and so on.

What I was hoping to find on the net (or even commercially) is an X windows
based tool like cscope that I have described.  Does such exist?  Where and/
or from whom might I find it?

I am hoping to be able to rapidly move about amoung the many files under
consideration and also have the ability to highlight a given symbol and
click some button to take me to that spot (maybe in a separate window)
and browse its "vicinity".

I greatly appreciate what help you might provide!  Please email directly
responses if possible.

Thanks much!

Mark
