looking for 'libz' and 'libgz'

Post by Jan Krup » Wed, 04 Jun 1997 04:00:00

I use Slackware3.2 . I am looking for 'libz' and 'libgz' libraries
in .tar.gz form.
I have tried 'altavista' 'archie' and I could not find anything.
I have no idea what I could do to find the libraries.
Could somone help me?

You can find the libz library at <ftp://ftp.uu.net/graphics/png/> or
<ftp://swrinde.swri.edu/pub/png/src/> or in the POV-Ray 3.0 source code
archive.

Cheers, Andreas.

Or you can just check out the zlib home page:

        http://www.cdrom.com/pub/infozip/zlib/

libgz is what the oldest (beta) versions of libz.* were called.
