1. StarOffice + ODBC (MySQL)

hi;

I tried to access a MySQL database from StarOffice 5 but no success so
far. I
use the lastest Database Server compiled with
egcs 1.1 and IODBC 2.50.17 (also compiled with egcs 1.1). I did the ODBC
Tests
mentioned in the iodbc.ini file and this works
(odbc client). I put a sym link from libiodbc.so to libodbc.so - there
must
exist some common way to access the driver manager
from applications ??! The problem seems to be with the driver manager
wich like
the driver is in my Path. I also tried the
Drivermanager from access1.sun.com - didn't work either. If someone was
able to
solve this  - i would like to know how !!!!
