I am currently subscribed to Erols, so I have a dynamic IP address. I
want to be able to post this up on a web page, so I can ftp, ssh, http,
etc... to my computer at home. It needs to be posted using ftp, which
shouldn't be too hard. Since I haven't been able to find any pre
programmed ways to do this, how would I make a script, program to ftp to
the server, and upload an IP address it gets?

Have you looked that the dynamic dns services?? www.dyndns.org might be
what you would really like to do with a lot less pain.
