I need to obtain the source code for 'init' and 'login' for Linux.
I am not sure it is available anywhere. Anyone know where it is?
I currently need it for a school project.

You're talking about core utilities for running Linux. Of course the
source is available.

"init" is part of "sysvinit",

(or Sunsite, tsx-11 and many other Linux sites).

I believe there are several different versions of "login". The one on my
Debian system is part of the "shadow password suite",
ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/unstable/main/source/base/shadow_97...
(and other Debian mirrors).
