I need to know the linux commands for the tape backup QIC-80.
Please give me the instructions on using the QIC-80.

first, i would like to remark, that this group is sure not the
right place to look for a hint on tape drives... but what matters...??

you need the following tools:

- the ftape module package (maybe some kernel support has to be added)

- mt  (the Magnetic Tools) to rewind and seek the tape

- tar (Tape ARchive) to write onto the tape

this should be all you need, and i guess, you have gotten it all with
the standard distrib... just look for it.
