Interesting.  Now, one can freely download the troff source of these
books.  All of a sudden, Motif is open.  I personally think it's an
interesting toolkit.  It seems to have an interesting balance of old
school/new school X.  I like it.  Microsoft likes it, too, having copied
some GUI elements from Motif for Windows.

Great, now everyone can learn to program 1980's GUI's.  Just get a VB book
and call it a day.

Bullshit, you moron.  You love Windows so dang much (Dang, BTW, since
you're from Kentucky)... didn't ever occur to you where those GUI
elements of Windows came from?  Here's a clue for yun:  check out the
Motif cascade menu buttons and compare to Windows' cascade menu
buttons.  Report to us the differences.

Now tell us why Motif looks a hell of a lot better than Windows' GUI.
What the hell is so great about the Windows GUI?  You Appalacians are so
stupid...

And you are so FOS .. were you even using MS-DOS in the 1980's?
.. Did you even try to use MS-Windows 1.0??

A current release of Linux XF looks nothing like that crap.

Turning a blind eye to your taking the lord's name in vain (I'm not a
religious man myself, except perhaps when it comes to fine spirits), I
think "fornicating" is more pc. Or perhaps "a parrot engaged in *
relationships".

Hmmm, I thought Appalachians were from Kentucky?  Myself, I'm from a
state most people deridingly call Pennsyltucky.

Nah, the Appalachian chain runs through WV too. Y'know - "The Mountain
State"

The hillbilly stereotype *is* a bit more applicable to some Kentucky areas
though. Certain parts of it make you feel like you're in a third world
country. (Arkansas is a lot like that too)

That those folks manage to survive in such an economically depressed area
is pretty amazing.

If by Pennsyltucky, you mean, Pennsylvania - UGGGH! I've had more speeding
tickets there that any other state in the country. New York is a close
second :(

Ah yes, the PA turnpike is very heavily patrolled by state troopers.
Hell, I travelled a stretch of the PA turnpike that spanned only 3 exits
(Bedford to Donegal), and I saw at least 6 cars pulled over for
speeding.  Also, Centre County (where State College, Bellefonte and
Milesburg are) have lots of mountains and farmland.  State College is
truly a city out in the middle of nowhere.  I guess Centre County is a
lot like certain parts of WV.

> Why do so many ppl in PA forget that the brake is on the left and the

I particularly hate truck drivers in Ohio.  They have a slower speed
limit than cars, so you frequently will see a truck move into the left
lane to pass, only to drive slower than the car speed limit.  In my
little town, people will go through red lights without thinking twice.
Those particular idiots will do it a speed much slower than the speed
limit, so they feel it exempts them from stopping on red.  Sometimes
that's actually more dangerous than going through a red light at a high
rate of speed, because you don't get out of the way of the traffic that
has a green light fast enough.  There's also a glut of old drivers in
PA, so that makes it real frustrating.  Why don't these people just stay
home, take a taxi, or have the brains to let someone else younger and
more capable drive them?  When I get to a sufficiently old age, I'll be
smart enough to let someone younger drive me.  Old drivers are
dangerous.

1. FS: O'Reilly, NT 3.51 cd, Linux books, FreeBSD, network books, etc

I have some cdroms, O'Reilly books, Linux books, FreeBSD and miscellaneous
stuff I'm looking to get rid off. They are listed below. Everything for
$40.

As an extra incentive, I am also throwing in a "not for resale" copy of
Windows NT 3.51, with the cdrom, boot disks, manuals, original box, etc.
Also, I am including a pirate Back Office 2.0 cd-r. It was given to me by
relatives back in another country. It supposedly includes Exchange Server,
Mail System, Internet Server, and other stuff. I don't know what it does
but you can have it free.

Everything for $40. Shipping not included. COD is extra $4. Please email me
