I thought a .sig file was only suppose to be 4 lines long.  We
can't go out and violate the unwritten rules of the Internet,
now can we.  Lets see what we can come up with in 4 lines or less:

Actually, that's not an unwritten rule of the internet - it's an imposition on
the .signature file by inews. As far as I've ever known, the unwritten rule
is: don't waste bandwidth. Having a 20 line sig on a 2 line posting is wasting
bandwidth. Having a 20 line sig on a 200 line posting is ok (although why
anyone would need a 20 line sig is beyond me).

Wrong.  Why would having a 20-line sig on a 200-line article be any
better (or, rather, not as bad) than having a 20-line sig on a 2-line
article?  It's still the same amount of (non)information.

The 4-line sig rule is both an unwritten and a written rule - read any
of the newbie's internet guides, or news.announce.newusers, and you'll
see why.  You don't *have* to adhere to it, but it's netiquette.

And as for a "Team Linux" logo, bleagh.  No way.  Who needs hype?
