: I thought NT was a bit of a * to install/configure,
: but Linux makes NT look like a toy. I have yet to get anything
: in Linux to come up, except the kernel panic message from the
: boot floppy.
Linux is reserved for the _true_ computer hacker. And the Slackware
version of Linux DOESN'T get any easier to install! just BOOT the
start-up diskette and READ! now is that hard?
Setting-up Linux to your needs, can be a *. I use Linux as an
Internet Server That manages Email,Usenet,SLIP/PPP login, and tracks
accouting and limits users with quotas. I also have it as a router &
gateway to the internet. Try to do that for me, with the quality and
speed that Linux provides. Remember most of the above applications are
_NOT_ Linux apps, but Unix. (INN1.4sec, Sendmail8.6.7, etc..) The
biggests and best Internet Sites (always unix) use these sames apps.
: shit. I wish I could get this f*cker to work. Linux must rule
: when you can actually get it to install.
And do you know at what price? Nothing! Zipp, Zero. For a person like
myself in school, the above set-up ranges in the thousands of dollars.
: nt boy
I have Windows/NT. And I take Linux over it any day.
