by Well, the hardware cost of Apple & WINTEL PC are getting close now, but
not the price of UN*X. Consider the current version of MachTen with X
will cost you almost $1,000. I really would like to run MachTen with a
540PB. It is the nicest looking notebook in the world!!! But I am a poor
dude, so I am running Linux (it's FREE) on my used cheap 386......
BTW, FreeBSD works on Mac but not the newer ones :-( and
MacMinix 1.5 costs almost $200.......
