kpaint??Whats up here?

Post by Jeff Le » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

I have KDE on two boxes and kpaint doesn't save a file in either case. I
just put on KDE1.1.1pre1 and kpaint still doesn't save. Can someone else
try to do a little drawing and save to see if its true in general or
just for my machines?
The change log seems to indicate they think this is fixed but I believe
its still broken.

You might try posting to the right group - comp.windows.x.kde

I heard a rumour that GIF write support had to be turned off in Qt and
KDE by default because of threats of lawsuits.  Could this be related
to your problem?  Then again, I could have heard wrong.

I have kpaint 0.4.3--I don't know of a later version.   GIFs save as black
squares, other formats don't save at all.  This is the first time I've much
looked at kpaint.  Usually use GIMP...

Did I say it was somebody's problem? Just stating a fact by way of
explanation! Sheesh!

Just stating a fact? You might want to get some social skills.
"thats your problem" is generally considered rude ( as if you didn't know).
Anyway, this is certainly no big deal so lets not get into a silly flame war
over it.
