Distributions of Linux?

Distributions of Linux?

Post by khol.. » Tue, 29 Aug 1995 04:00:00

Could someone recommend a distribution of Linux that is readily
available? I'm a beginner and I'm curious about the OS but don't know
where to go to find it. Could someone point me in the right direction?
I came here hoping that I would find some information.

Thanks in Advance,

Kevin Holmes

Yes, go for Slackware 2.3

The best way to get it is on CD.

InfoMagic Linux Developer 4-CD kit (25 US$) highly reccomended.

It has also the full Linux archives from sunsite and tsx-11
and the GNU archive.

If you are really new to Unix world try Linux Toolbox
from the same company. More expensive (45 US$) but have some
printed manuals.

I was highly satisfied by it's service.
