lilo problems on RedHat 6.1

When you are setting up your kernel and you use
the make zImage command, it fails right? Use the
make bzImage. This will fix that issue

SmartArray 3200 - and it was booting fine after i installed RedHat - but
after an upgrade i get LI only :-( I can boot from a floppy fortunately -
but i need to fix this.

My /boot is on /dev/ida/c0d0p5 and / is mounted on /dev/ida/c0d0p11.
What's more confuzing is

Root device 0x4800

/dev/ida/c0: No such file or directory

Root device Boot device

What's this 0x4801 i wonder?
