I have a problem to acces my zipdrive.
I have build a new kernal with SCSI support and read the SCSI-HOWTO but
I have no idea. I have a future domain tmc850 scsi controler.
I booted with and whithout a zipdisk (boot message follows) :
TMC-8XX/TMC-950 options: ARBITRATE SLOW_HANDSHAKE FAST32
scsi0 : TMC-8XX/TMC-950 at irq 3, address 0xCA000
scsi : 1 host.
Vendor: IOMEGA Model: ZIP 100 Rev: C.18
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Detected scsi disk sda at scsi0, id 5, lun 0
scsi : detected 1 SCSI disk total.
OK now I want to mount the zip but :
mount: wrong type or bad superblock on /dev/sdaQuote:>mount -t msdos /dev/sda /mnt/zip
i even tried sda1 .... sda?? ... sdb .......
with fdisk I got the following :
Disk /dev/hda: 15 heads, 62 sectors, 899 cylindersQuote:>fdisk -l
Units = cylinders of 930 * 512 bytes
Disk /dev/sda: 0 heads, 0 sectors, 0 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 1 * 512 bytes
Device Boot Begin Start End Blocks Id System
If I tried to set the partitions :
You must set cylinders.Quote:>fdisk /dev/sda
You can do this from the extra functions menu.
SO I had to know how many cylinders and heads ... a zip has and where to set
Any ideas ????
Thanks in advance
PS: please personal mail because I post this in a lot newsgroups and I haven't
the time to read them all to get a answer.
