BusLogic Flashpoint SCSI adapter support?

BusLogic Flashpoint SCSI adapter support?

Post by Kendrick Varg » Fri, 01 Dec 1995 04:00:00

Hi, I currently have a new Micron P133 which uses a Buslogic Flashpoint
PCI SCSI adapter. When I tried to install linux, it could not find my
SCSI adapter. I later found out that the slackware release I had (March
'95) didn't support my SCSI adapter. I am a NEWBIE (sorry, no flames
please). I was just wondering if and when there will be support for my
SCSI adapter. I am very happy running NT, but would also like to see
Linux on my system...

The FlashPoint LT, also known as the 930 Ultra, implements a different host
interface from the MultiMaster cards and is not supported by a Linux driver
as yet.  If you want to run Linux any time soon, I suggest you get a 946C
instead.  A call to your sales representative at Micron also couldn't hurt,
though it's not clear they are helping people get 946Cs.
